Outputs
| Name | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Model Output | Model | The loaded model, or an empty one when there is no file. |
Parameters
| Name | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| File Path | String | The .gltf or .glb file to load, picked with a file dialog or typed. |
Load 3D Model brings a finished 3D asset into the graph: a character, a piece of furniture, a whole scene. It reads glTF files, both the text form with the extension .gltf and the binary form with the extension .glb. Dropping such a file into the editor makes a Load 3D Model with the path already filled in.
The file is loaded whole. Every part keeps its place in the scene, and each mesh comes with its material and textures, whether those are embedded in the file or sit next to it. The materials arrive as PBR materials, so they react to light the same way a PBR Material made in the graph does. Only triangles are loaded. Points and lines in a file are left out.
The file is read again whenever the path changes. Problems with a file are reported in the log, and with no path or a file that cannot be read the output is an empty model that draws nothing.
