Float

A Float holds one number with decimals, such as 0.5 or -12.25. It has no smallest or largest value of its own; each operator says what range makes sense for it.

Click the field and type to set it. To change the value without typing, drag left or right in the field with the middle mouse button. Small values change in small steps and large values in large steps, so a drag feels the same at any size.

Any parameter can drive a Float. A whole number arrives as it is, an on/off value as 0 or 1, and text is read as a number. A vector gives one of its components, and a choice box gives the position of its choice, counting from 0. A field that is driven by a connection is disabled and shown in a different color. Right-click it and choose Disconnect to free it again.
