Parameters
Move pushes each vertex of a mesh outwards along its normal, the direction its surface faces. With the same amount everywhere the mesh inflates, or deflates with a negative amount. A sphere stays a sphere and grows, and a box grows a little at each face.
The amount attribute makes the movement differ per vertex. Give it the name of an attribute on the mesh, and each vertex moves by the amount multiplied by its own value. That is where the shape comes from. An attribute from Noise Attribute gives lumpy, organic displacement. One from Distance gives a bulge that fades out from a point. One from Create Attribute in Random mode gives spikes. A name that matches no attribute is ignored and every vertex moves the same distance.
Only the positions change. The normals stay as they were, so after a large move the lighting may no longer match the new shape. A mesh without normals passes through unchanged.
