Transform 3D

Where something sits in 3D space, as one value that moves, turns and scales it.

A Transform 3D describes a placement in 3D space: how far something is moved, how it is turned and how it is scaled, all in one value. Mesh and texture operators that move their result take one, and so does the Transform 3D operator, which builds one from a list of translate, rotate and scale steps.

A transform is not typed in. It is set by connecting it, almost always from a Transform 3D operator, which is where the numbers are edited. A transform that is not connected leaves things where they are.

Only another transform can drive a Transform 3D in a useful way. Connecting a number or text to it, or it to a number or text, does not carry the placement across.
