ZigZag has no accounts, no telemetry and no tracking. This page describes the one thing the editor does send, and what this website keeps.

The update check

When the editor starts, and when you choose Check for updates in the Help menu, it asks this website whether a newer version exists. That request contains the version you are running, your operating system and processor architecture, and whether the check was automatic or manual. It contains nothing that identifies you or your computer: no install id, no account, no hardware details, and nothing is written to your computer for this purpose.

The website counts these requests per day so we know roughly how many people use each version, and keeps nothing that identifies you or your computer. This is the only network request the editor makes, apart from opening documentation pages in your browser when you ask it to.

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. It sets no cookies and uses no analytics scripts.
