Cross Fader
Fades between any number of textures with one fader position.
Outputs
| Name | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Texture Output | Texture | The fade between the two inputs the fader sits between. |
Inputs
| Name | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Inputs | Texture | The textures to fade between, in order. Connecting to the list adds an input at the end. |
Parameters
| Name | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Texture Type | Enum | The channels of the output texture.Choices: R (u8), RG (u8), RGBA (u8) |
| Texture Size | Vector 2 Int | The size of the output texture in pixels. |
| Fader Position | Float | Where the fader is. 0 is the first input, 1 the second, 2 the third, and a value in between fades between the two nearest. |
Cross Fader dissolves from one texture to the next, like the fader on a video mixer. The inputs are a list, and the fader position walks along it. At a whole number the output is exactly that input, counting from 0 for the first. Halfway between two whole numbers the output is an even mix of the two inputs on either side. Every pixel is mixed on its own, so it is a plain dissolve with no wipe or motion.
One fader can therefore step through a whole set of textures. Drive the position with a Ramp to make a timed transition, or with a Counter smoothed by Smooth to cut and fade between scenes on a trigger. A position below 0 or past the last input is held at the end.
With no inputs the output is empty, and the output is also empty while either of the two inputs the fader sits between has no texture.
